The futuristic exterior of the 2024 Blazer EV is a great introduction to what you can expect inside the cabin and under the hood. Mechanical Specs
Although this is Chevrolet’s first-ever all-electric Blazer model, the 2024 MotorTrend SUV of the Year award confirms that the manufacturer has outdone itself. The base model Blazer is equipped with a two-liter four-cylinder Turbo engine that gets 228 horsepower at 5,000 RPM and 258 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 to 4,000 RPM. The engine features a dual overhead camshaft design, variable valve timing, and Stop/Start technology for saving on gas and emissions.
The Turbo engine is paired with a nine-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission for smoother shifts from gear to gear. The Blazer EV has a 170-amp alternator, front-wheel drive, and a Drive Mode Selector that lets you toggle between Touring mode, Sport mode, Off-Roading, Tow/Hauling, and Snow/Ice. The Blazer also has an independent suspension fine-tuned for optimal riding and handling. The StabiliTrak electronic stability control system is always ready to make adjustments to keep control and traction in your hands.
Exterior
The Blazer EV’s front bumper features active aero grille shutters, LED headlamps with an automatic on/off feature, LED daytime running lamps, and the IntelliBeam automatic high beam feature. The Blazer’s taillamps are also LED to match the headlights, and there is deep-tinted privacy glass on the rear liftgate and rear side windows. Heated power side-view mirrors are standard on the base model Blazer.
Exterior Colors
The LT and RS Blazer EV trims have eight color options you can choose from, from a bright white all the way to a sleek black. You can opt for Summit White, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, a light Sterling Gray Metallic, a darker Galaxy Gray Metallic, Black, and the most exciting color options: Riptide Blue Metallic, a bright Red Hot, and a darker Radiant Red Metallic.
The Blazer SS, a 2024 spring debut, changes up the exterior by making each color option highlighted with black. You can choose to completely black out the Blazer SS, but you can also choose any of the LT and RS available color options. The lower side moldings, center roof/door posts, and front face will be highlighted in black no matter which color you choose.
