Brake Pad Replacement

Brake pads fit into the brake calipers and have a friction material covering. When you hit the brakes, the calipers clamp against both sides of each rotor. The brake generates friction against the smooth surface of the rotors, and this friction slows and stops your car. Over time, the material covering the pads will wear off, and you’ll notice an increase in your braking distance.

When a pad has worn thin, a metal spike buried in the material will become visible. This spike will scratch against the rotor when you brake, and it makes a high-pitched screeching noise. This is a sign that it is time to visit us so we can replace those pads, and the horrible noises will stop.

Tire Rotations

The tread on your tires will wear thin as time passes. Your tires are subject to constant friction with the surface, and each tire also develops a specific wear pattern depending on its position on your Chevy. In addition, balance or alignment issues can cause extra wear on your tires.

A tire rotation involves moving each tire to a different position on your vehicle. The exact positions the tires move to depends on your drivetrain. The front tires on an FWD will wear out faster than the rear tires, and the opposite applies to an RWD. Shifting your tires to new positions equalizes their wear, allowing all your tires to wear out at a relatively similar rate.

Radiator Flush

The radiator is a vital part of your engine’s cooling system. The coolant absorbs the heat produced by combustion and the countless moving parts in your engine and transports this hat to the radiator. The coolant flows into the radiator tubes and is cooled by airflow over the tubes. Coolant slowly becomes less efficient over time, and old coolant can cause corrosion in your cooling system.

We flush your radiator to fix this problem. The first step is to drain the old coolant, then we add new coolant mixed with a cleaner. This mixture circulates through your engine and removes any traces of the old coolant. We then drain the coolant/cleaner mixture and refill your engine with new coolant.
